LED controllers for mono and dual color LED display products. There are two brands of LED controller for this type. One is LUMEN, the other type is LYTEC. Basically there is not much difference between these two brands. Both are the old brands for mono color and dual color LED display products. As the demands of mono color and dual color LED display products have decreased a lot, it seems their business have been affected a lot. So LUMEN also have developed the LED display controllers for full color LED display products.
There are two types of controllers for full color LED display products. One is called synchronous system, which means the LED display content is synchronous with the computer. So the computer will be used clone mode. There is another type which is called asynchronous system. After the configuration, we could load the display content on LED display's controller. The controller has the flash card built-in. And when we finish the content loading, the screen will work without the computer as the flash memory card already has the data. For this type, it is mainly for advertising LED display products.
For asynchronous system, we could find some brands in the markets such as SHEEN COLOR, XIXUN, NOVASTAR, etc. Below is the brief description for them:
XIXUN: One of the old brands based in Shanghai. They focus on asynchronous system. They have wifi type controller, 3G type controller, wifi and 3G integrated type controller, Android system controller, etc. Their 3G type is used the cloud technology, which could allow the users to manage the different LED displays in different locations remotely. They also have a type of controller called M90, which has asynchronous mode and synchronous mode. It means the display content could be synchronous with the computer. In the meantime, the users also could login their cloud system and manage the display content remotely.
SHEEN COLOR: The company is in Shenzhen. They have very similar products like XIXUN. Their products includes wifi type controller, 3G type controller, wifi and 3G integrated type controller, etc.
NOVASTAR: Their factory is in Xi'an, but they also have office in Shenzhen. Their main product is synchronous system, but they also have asynchronous system. Their PBOX150 controller have both asynchronous mode and synchronous mode, which is similar to M90 controller from XIXUN.
For synchronous system, we could see the brands like , LINSN, NOVASTAR, COLORLIGHT, MOONCELL. Below is the brief description for them:
LINSN: The users like it is because their software is very user-friendly. So many advertising LED display products are using LINSN system. The software of their system is called LEDstudio.
NOVASTAR: The users like its grayscale and refresh rate performance. It seems NOVASTAR matches the high-end driving IC very well, so many event LED displays are used NOVASTAR system as they need high refresh rate and high grayscale. Meanwhile, they have very large production lines. Such as MCTRL300(it could handle 1.3 million pixels), MCTRL600(it could handle 2.3 million pixels), MCTRL 4K (it could handle 4k x 2k resolution). What's more, they have their own video processor products as well. Their software is called NovaLCT-Mars and NovaStudio.
COLORLIGHT, it is also a good brand. Now more and more people start to use their system. They have very good receiving card products called i5 & i6, which have really very small dimension. So that would save the space. It could be very useful for some of the LED display products which need high transparency rate. Their software is called LEDVISION.
MOONCELL, it seems they more focus on some LED display products with irregular shape, such as triangle, hexagon shape, etc. Their software is called MC LED Player.
When we choose the brand of LED controller, we should consider two things. One is software user-friendly. And the other is the hardware's performance.
