The first step, keep in mind the national standards for electricity wire
According to the “wire and cable national latest revision (2012) standards” GB/T12706, you can know the following standards: room temperature conditions, the
1. 0.75mm ² copper conductor allows long-term current load of 2-6A
2. 1mm ² copper conductor allows long-term current load of 6-8A
3. 1.5mm² copper conductor allows long-term current load of 8-15A.

2.5mm² copper conductor permissible long-term current load of 16-25A
5. 4mm² copper conductor allows long-term current load of 25-32A.
6. 6mm ² copper wire allows long-term current load of 32-40A
7. 10mm ² copper wire allows long-term current load of 60-70A
The second step, determine the LED module current size, select the corresponding cross-sectional area of the wire
Generally speaking, you buy the module from the LED module manufacturer, the manufacturer will give you a module corresponding to the electrical parameters, such as the maximum current, power, luminous brightness and so on. Then we choose the cross-section area (thickness) of the corresponding wire according to the module current. The overall principle is to strictly implement the national standard, never abuse the waste, to ensure the safety of electricity.
For example, our company regular
P10 outdoor 4S module, current parameters for the 5.5A, then the module power supply block power line can choose 1mm ² copper wire, full-color power line is generally a tow two, the main line can choose 1.5mm ² copper wire.
Then take the monochrome P10 single red module as an example, the current parameter is 2A, then the monochrome power line is generally one tow three or one tow four, the front end can choose to use 0.75mm ² copper wire, the main line with 1mm ² copper wire.
The third step, according to the size of the module, select the length of the wire
The last thing to pay attention to is the length of the power cord. General manufacturers in order to save material, do full-color module power cord are 50cm (30 + 20) long, while our company in order to facilitate customer installation, module power cord are
60cm (40 + 20) long. In a sense, the regular P3 or P4 small module, the use of short wire is also enough, and once with 320 * 160 board, the wire or use long enough to be good, both to facilitate the installation, but also to ensure safety. Otherwise, the module power supply seat or LED display power supply because the wire is so short a little bit, hard not to connect, over time, easy to cause poor contact, but also the existence of security risks.
