Novastar XA50 Pro LED Receiving Card

The NovaStar XA50 Pro is a high-end 5G receiving card from the next-generation COEX series of control systems. Designed for both 8-bit and 10-bit video sources with PWM driver ICs, a single XA50 Pro supports resolutions up to 1024×512 at 60Hz. For 12-bit sources, it supports resolutions up to 620×512 at 60Hz.

The XA50 Pro integrates NovaStar’s exclusive technologies, including Adaptive Thermal Compensation, Dynamic Booster, Full-Grayscale Calibration, and Image Booster. It also features Multi-Mode operation, Brightness Overdrive, Mobile Seam Correction, Frame Rate Adaptive 3.0, Shutter Fit, HDR, 3D support, Pixel-Level Brightness and Chroma Calibration, Quick Adjustment for Dark or Bright Lines, Low Latency, and 90° Image Rotation.

These features work together to significantly enhance brightness, grayscale, and color performance—delivering a uniform, smooth, and lifelike visual experience. The card supports the use of NCP files, enabling users to easily manage tasks such as content display, firmware upgrades, and image optimization on the cabinets.

Compact, flexible, and highly integrated, the XA50 Pro uses DDR3 connectors for communication and is convenient for cabinet structure design. It supports up to 40 groups of parallel RGB data or 64 groups of serial data, and is compatible with LVDS transmission.

  • Display performance
Adaptive Thermal Compensation to mitigate color cast from uneven heat.
Dynamic Booster analyzes each frame to enhance contrast and details while reducing power consumption.
Full-Grayscale Calibration and Precise Grayscale (16-bit driver IC correction) improve low-gray uniformity (fixes spikes/dips, color cast, mottling).
22bit+ grayscale improvement (up to 64× finer) for smoother dark-area detail.
HDR support: HDR10 (SMPTE ST 2084/2086) and HLG.
Frame Rate Adaptive 3.0 optimizes parameters automatically from 23–240 Hz inputs.
Shutter Fit auto-matches camera shutter angle for xR filming (eliminates black lines/grayscale issues).
Brightness Overdrive increases peak brightness while balancing uniformity.
3D output when paired with a 3D-capable controller.
    90° image rotation (0°/90°/180°/270°).
Low latency down to 1 frame (with driver ICs that have built-in RAM).
  • Maintainability & efficiency
Pixel-Level Brightness & Chroma Calibration for high consistency.
Seam Correction with mobile phones (auto/manual via app; works with TU series).
Quick dark/bright line adjustment in milliseconds.
Fast calibration coefficient upload/readback; coefficients can be saved to hardware.
Automatic Module Calibration and Module Flash Management (store/read calibration & module ID).
One-click application of module flash coefficients via the cabinet self-test button.
Mapping 1.1 displays controller/receiving-card/Ethernet-port info for quick topology lookup.
Temperature & voltage monitoring; bit-error detection on Ethernet.
  • Reliability & redundancy
Dual card backup with status monitoring on a single hub board.
Loop backup keeps the screen on if a line fault occurs.
Dual backup of configuration parameters (application/factory areas).
Dual program (firmware) backup; one-click firmware learning to clone cabinet config.
  • Interfaces & data
Up to 40 groups of parallel RGB or 64 groups of serial data.
DDR3 connector communication; LVDS transmission supported via dedicated firmware.
NCP file compatibility for cabinet display, firmware upgrades, and image quality optimization.
  • Package & Installation Notes:
    – Each card ships with an antistatic bag and anti-collision foam; 40 cards per box; box size 381.0 × 123.0 × 196.0 mm.
    – For heat dissipation, use an aluminum heatsink plate ≥250.0 × 250.0 × 3.0 mm (or equivalent performance). Ensure cabinet materials meet thermal requirements.
